Uncle Nearest 1884 Premium Small Batch Whiskey is a meticulously crafted spirit, aged for a minimum of seven years, making it perfect for sipping. This award-winning whiskey revives the remarkable story of Nathan "Nearest" Green, the first known African-American master distiller. The blending process brings family heritage into each batch, with each one curated by a different descendant of the master distiller himself.
With a mash bill of at least 51% corn, Uncle Nearest 1884 is aged in new charred oak barrels, which imparts a distinctive character to the whiskey. On the nose, you'll find a delightful sweetness of butter and browning sugar, complemented by a hint of vanilla. The light body of this whiskey makes it versatile and enjoyable either on its own or as the foundation for craft cocktails.
Uncle Nearest 1884 Premium Small Batch Whiskey stands out not only for its exceptional quality but also for its rich history and family involvement. Each sip is a tribute to the legacy of Nearest Green, offering a unique and satisfying experience that honors the past while delivering a premium, modern whiskey.
